Format & Expectations

Join us at Cryptic Cabin Bristol for a day of 40K gaming with a twist. This is a Matched Play event using the current 11th Edition rules, but with a focus on fun, creativity, and community vibes over hardcore meta-chasing. Expect unique armies, friendly faces, and cinematic showdowns.

We value sportsmanship, style, and story just as much as victory points.

Please bring:

• Your army (2000pts)

• Dice & measuring tools

• Tokens, mission cards, etc.

• Warhammer 40K Rulebook & relevant codex/detachment rules

Terrain is provided by Cryptic Cabin.

• Doors Open: 9:00 AM

• Briefing: 9:15 – 9:30 AM

• Round 1: 9:30 – 12:15

• Lunch: 12:15 – 12:45

• Round 2: 12:45 – 3:30

• Break: 3:30 – 3:45

• Round 3: 3:45 – 6:30

1. Gameplay Record 
Points are awarded for win/loss/draw results. The highest score wins a gameplay award.

2. Sportsmanship 
Round 3 voting – players vote for their favourite opponent.

3. Painting/Army Concept
Armies are displayed during lunch. Votes for the most creative/conversion-heavy/thematic list.
