Product Description:
The Stryx are the first models to fly in the Conquest game, making them a unique and formidable force on the battlefield. These creatures have been designed with bones so light that they can scarcely support the musculature needed to power their mighty pinions. Despite their fragile frames, the Stryx are a terrifying sight in the sky.
However, their potential as a battlefield threat would be greatly diminished if not for the Spires' cruel disregard for life. These flying creatures are forced into a deadly role, carrying toxic payloads in their bloated sacs. When unleashed, they rain death upon their foes, making them a devastating aerial weapon.
With 12 premium plastic models, 1 command card, and regiment stands, these Stryx bring a unique combination of mobility and offensive capability to the Spires army. Whether they are swooping down to deliver their toxic payload or darting around the battlefield to harass enemies, they provide valuable tactical advantages when used strategically.
How They Play:
Stryx are designed to provide an aerial advantage, striking from above and utilizing their speed and the devastating toxic payloads they carry. Their lightweight, fragile nature makes them less durable in direct combat, but their ability to fly and carry out surprise attacks gives them a distinct advantage.
They excel at harassing enemy units, particularly those that are vulnerable to poison or ranged attacks. Stryx are effective in flanking maneuvers, swooping in to disrupt enemy formations or weaken key units, all while staying out of harm’s way as much as possible. Their ability to fly allows them to avoid terrain obstacles and enemy ground units, giving them a high level of maneuverability to exploit weaknesses in the enemy lines.
Their role is primarily offensive support, and they work best when used in combination with other Spires forces, picking off weaker units, supporting a charge, or adding pressure to defensive formations. Stryx are particularly effective when paired with more durable Spires units that can hold the enemy's attention while the Stryx perform hit-and-run tactics.
